Despite months of planning and a rainy day in the villa spent filling bottles with olive oil and putting together candle arrangements (whilst drinking Prosecco), it was all hands on deck the day of the wedding to pull it all together. The hanging of fairy lights and paper lanterns was carried out with military precision. Playlists were finalised. Tables were laid. Speeches were tweaked. For some insane reason, I had planned to do it all myself. In reality, there’s no way it would have happened without all the help of my friends and family.
My hairdresser was Mauro from Weddingallover. I’d discovered how talented he was during my early morning trial before our civil ceremony a couple of days earlier when he managed to tame my usually wild and unruly hair into a gorgeous style in just 20 minutes. Mauro then produced another sleek style for our wedding day and I’m so happy that I trusted him and ended up with different styles for each of our ceremonies.
